Peter Yan not interested in Edgar-Sandhagen winner, welcomes back T. J. Dillashaw
I have some bad news for the winner of the Frankie Edgar vs. Cory Sandhagen fight. The fight in the ultralight category between the Top 5 contenders is scheduled as part of the upcoming event "UFC Vegas 18". It will be held on February 6 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Instead of taking part in this fight, the reigning 61-pound titleholder Peter Yan took aim at former champion T. J. Dillashaw. The latter returns to competition after a two-year suspension due to taking the EPO drug, which he used to lose weight and gain the title in an easier way.

"Edgar is older. It's small, its fan base is not very good, "said Ian." Sundhagen lost to Sterling. I think Dillashaw might. T. J. Dillashaw returned after a doping test. I want to fight him. It depends on the UFC. If the conditions allow, I will fight him whenever I want. Just make sure that this time he is not going to use anything forbidden. I think it's going to be a really great fight and I'm going to win. He's older. He had a 2-year break, during which he did not take part in fights. Today, if I remember correctly, he is 34 years old. It is older for the ultralight weight category.”

Ian, 27, won't have to worry about picking his next opponent unless he can get past top contender Aljamain Sterling at UFC 259, officially scheduled for March 6 in Las Vegas or Abu Dhabi.
The "Funk Master" (Aljamain Sterling's nickname) doesn't seem to share his views on Dillashaw.
Yang has been competing in the Octagon for less than three years, but has already won seven straight under the UFC banner. The only downside to" No Mercy " (Ian's nickname) is that he hasn't beaten any of the Top 5 in his weight class yet.
But that could change at the upcoming UFC 259 in just a few weeks.
