Askar Askarov was removed from the UFC program due to his health problems, which did not allow him to attend the scheduled premiere of UFC Vegas 18
In the near future, Askar Askarov will not participate in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fights. Askar's initial appearance in the UFC Vegas 18 octagon for the fight against Cody Stamann in Las Vegas, Nevada, was scheduled for last Saturday (February 6, 2021), but the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) did not allow Askar to fight for health reasons.

According to Aaron Bronsteter, a reporter for TSN, to date, the organization has completely terminated the contract with Askar.
Over the past 5 years, Askar has participated in fights with a 10-1 record in mixed martial arts (MMA), 7 wins of which were OTC (refusal to continue the fight), while being a member of several organizations around the world.

While the exact health issues that led to his disqualification are unknown, we hope that in the future Askar will recover and be able to fight again and possibly renew his contract with the UFC.
